Delicatessen Manager – Full Time 

Job description

The Delicatessen Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day management, development, and growth of the Delicatessen. The role will be to inspire a large team to deliver an outstanding customer experience and create new ‘Hollies made products’, as well as to encourage creative displays to maximise sales. The role will report directly to the Farm Shop Manager and also work closely with other departments in developing a great range of products for our customers.

Key Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage the team to maximise service and customer care, whilst at the same time hitting department labour budgets.
  • Along with the support of HR you will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, appraising and managing the kitchen and forward-facing team.
  • Provide induction and training on company policies to new and existing team members.
  • Efficient cost control and forecasting, to optimise ordering
  • Reduce waste and maintain our high standards of tidiness and cleanliness
  • Monitor and drive KPIs and take action to ensure they are all met on a daily and weekly basis
  • Maintain the hygiene, legislation and health and safety policies we have in place but also be responsible of creating new polices when laws and legislation have been superseded or implemented.
  • Oversee allergens and labelling across the business.
  • Weekly/Monthly stock takes

Desired experience and knowledge

  • Previous experience of managing a team is essential.
  • Good understanding of PPDS legislation
  • Previous experience within food production or retail
  • A food enthusiast who can be great ambassador for our ranges.
  • Punctual, committed, self-motivated and professional.
  • Ability to lead, organise and motivate a team to get the best out of them.
  • Innovative thinker who works well on their own initiative.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer literate; proficient on Excel and MS Office
  • Flexible with working hours and days to cover 5 days out of 7.
  • A good understanding of HACCP

Butcher – Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Butcher to join The Hollies Butchery team. A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a butcher is essential. You will need to be capable of preparing meat from whole carcasses. We make a variation of different products on site including our own sausages, burgers, ready to cook range and much more. This role is based at out Little Budworth site

Duties include 

  • Boning and trimming 
  • Minimising product waste  
  • Maintaining a clean working environment 
  • Keeping up with the fast past environment and the supply chain to the multideck

Butchery Assistant – part time

We are a family run Farm Shop, looking for a counter assistant to work within the Butchery department. The ideal candidate will have some experience in a customer service role. We have two vacancies for this role, one based at Little Budworth and the other based at our Lower Stretton site  

Duties include 

  • Ensuring the smooth running of the meat counter 
  • Providing customers with excellent customer service 
  • Assisting the butchers 
  • Preparing meat, including sausage and burger making 
  • Packing meat 
  • Maintaining hygiene standards

Seasonal Christmas Retail Assistants – Lower Stretton

We are looking for Christmas Retail Team Members at our Lower Stretton store. Duties include pricing and displaying new stock, keeping all retail areas looking magical, offering great customer service, till work and cash handling.

We have two positions for around 2-3 days per week (this include weekdays- please do not apply if you are just looking for weekend work) This is a seasonal contract for over the Christmas period (September – December inclusive).
