Customer Service Assistant – Butchery Full time

We are a family run Farm Shop, looking for a counter assistant to work within the Butchery department. The ideal candidate will have a desire to provide great customer service but butchery experience isn’t an essential requirement. Based at Little Budworth or Lower Stretton.

Duties include 

  • Ensuring the smooth running of the butchery counter 
  • Providing customers with excellent service 
  • Assisting the butchers 
  • Maintaining hygiene standards

The Hollies is a small family run business with two award-winning Cheshire farm shops situated on the A49. For this role you would be working within our LOWER STRETTON team within our busy farm shop throughout our magical festive period. 

As we approach our busy Christmas season, we are looking for someone who is flexible with hours and can work both weekdays and weekends, full or part time.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, price and unload deliveries
  • Create product displays
  • Open and close the shop- this includes putting out & clearing away our award-winning fresh fruit and vegetable displays
  • Cash Handling

Housekeeper- Part Time

As a Housekeeping Team Member at The Hollies you will work in a high performing, fast paced environment, delighting our guests by proudly delivering exceptional cleanliness standards in our Luxury Lodges and all public areas.

Role responsibilities:

  • Work independently and as part of a team to consistently clean and prepare guest accommodation and public areas in line with the company standards, including making the bed, vacuuming, dusting, bathroom cleaning and preparation and replenishing stock
  • Starting your day within the shop and gift areas to ensure public areas are clean before customers arrive. Then moving onto lodge cleaning, laundry, stock room organisation and other housekeeping tasks
  • Report any damage, deterioration or items that require technical maintenance to your line manager as early as possible
  • Ensure all Lodges are ready at the expected times. Our lodge change over days are Monday and Friday so you must be available to work those two days in particular
  • Retrieve and report lost property items found in accommodation after guests departure, making sure they are logged according to the department procedures
  • Ensure a safe, secure and appealing environment is maintained for team and guests by following the company Health and Safety Policy
  • You will be trained to look after the cleanliness and chemicals balance in our hot tubs

Additions:

  • Previous experience within a similar role would be preferred
  • This role would be a 21 hour contract. Hours per week would be as follows – Monday 7am-3pm, Friday 7am-3pm and 7am-12pm Sunday.

Cook – Part Time

Who we are:

The Hollies is a small family run business with two award-winning Cheshire farm shops situated on the A49. For this role you would be working within a small production team, supported by a larger out front customer facing team. This role would be based within the Deli/ production kitchen at our Little Budworth site. Here at The Hollies, no two days are the same and is always a fast-paced busy environment. Once you have been with the business 6 months you will receive 20% staff discount across the shops and forest lodges.

The Role:

You will be preparing and cooking high quality products, whilst ensuring that the food production work areas, equipment and utensils are in a clean and orderly condition, and complying with all Health and Safety Legislation. You will be working in an ever growing, fast paced department, on tasks including:

  • Baking freshly prepared goodies, breads, and pastries
  • Preparing our homemade products onsite, using fresh ingredients ready for sale in both farm shops.
  • Working to The Hollies recipes to create a range of hot and cold products
  • Following the daily preparation list in order to keep good stock levels on the shop floor
  • Undertaking basic cooking duties such as making soups, parboiling food etc.
  • Preparing simple dishes such as salads and coleslaws etc.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitising surfaces etc.
  • Ensuring all food and other items are stored properly
  • Complying with food hygiene and allergen guidelines

The Job Requirements

  • Previous experience working within food production or a kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • A personable approach with a genuine interest in creating delicious food

Additions:

  • Salary would be discussed at job offer
  • Kitchen uniform and shoes will be provided
  • Shifts vary between 7am and 4pm Monday-Sunday.
