We are looking for an experienced, competent, knowledgeable and qualified butcher to join our skilled butchery team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Following and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Organising, aiding and instructing an attractive and organised counter and fridge to encourage sales.
  • Maintaining the multi deck displays
  • Creating and maintaining a great rapport with current and new suppliers
  • Receive deliveries, check orders, inspect for quality and quantity
  • Use your product knowledge and suggestions to help customers at the point of sale.
  • Use efficient stock rotation to reduce waste and loss of profits.
  • Maintain excellent cleanliness within all areas including the meat preparation counter, adhering to food safety guidelines.
  • Making sure online and telephone orders are ready and correct in time for delivering
  • This is a full-time role (45 hours) consist of 5 shifts over the 7-day week and will include weekends, in order to fulfil the 7-day operation of the business.
  • You may be required to work across our Lower Stretton and Little Budworth sites in Cheshire

Successful applicant must have the following Skills & Qualifications
2 years or more experience as a butcher

  • communication and team working skills
  • confidence in stock ordering and improving product quality.
  • Customer service experience
  • Encouragement and training to other members of the team
  • A good knowledge of food safety systems and best practices
  • Experience in boning, tying, grinding, mincing, cutting and trimming
