Bramley

We are pleased to introduce one of our brand-new suppliers in The Barn; Bramley! The Bramley collection of luxury bath, body and home products are made in the British countryside and are inspired by the beauty and therapeutic properties of plants. We love getting to know the story behind our products and their founders to help us to understand and appreciate their brand.

Founder of Bramley, Chloë Luxton, has a long-held passion for natural beauty products and in 2004 her love of the beauty industry led her to apply for a job at Cowshed. Here she learnt her craft and met her husband, Charlie. In 2009 Charlie took on The Beckford Arms in Wiltshire, a small country hotel and pub, and he asked Chloë to recommend a chic, completely natural beauty brand to use within their bathrooms. Chloë was surprised to discover that there wasn’t anything that fitted the brief, and thus the idea for the Bramley brand was born!

Inspired by her own childhood in the country, Chloë wanted Bramley to be a natural, essential oil bath and body collection with a central brief that rather than it being an extensive range of unexceptional products, each product should instead be a hero in its own category. Working with a Somerset apothecary, Chloë developed the products using the finest essential oils. Each has different ingredients and oils, but all are anchored together by a natural citrus base.

All their essential oils are fair trade and sustainably grown, the ingredients are biodegradable, and the packaging is recyclable.

“I wanted Bramley to evoke the scents of the countryside I grew up in,” says Chloë, “and it was really important to me that everything in the collection was natural as well as environmentally sustainable. Bramley’s scents are as pure as they seem, with no artificial ingredients added.”

The Bramley range is available in The Barn at Little Budworth and in The Stretton Barn at Lower Stretton.
