The All New Douglas Fir

Work began at the end of May on the newest addition to our Forest Lodge family, The Douglas Fir, and it was finished just in time for Christmas! Taking inspiration from The Noble Fir, this brand new lodge sleeps up to four guests and is our most luxurious Forest Lodge yet. Our Director Phil, who has a great eye for interior design, has been involved in the design work from the original Forest Lodges and each new lodge in turn, plus more recently the whole scale renovation of The Hollies’ Highland Hotel; Muckrach Country House Hotel.

The rich interior living space featuring vibrant reds and sophisticated golds delivers you into The Douglas Fir’s luxurious style. The grand leather seating complements the log burning stove throughout cold winter nights.

There are granite worktops and plaid fabrics, chandeliers and plush Muraspec wallpapers which come together in this contemporary blend of modern and traditional styling. In the bedrooms there is luxurious Wilton carpets and super king size beds offering you guaranteed relaxation.

Outside the Jacuzzi hot tub will be ready no matter the weather, constantly maintained to the optimum temperature for an indulgent dip. For the warmer days of the year there is the decking area which is furnished with large tables and seats as well as a Green Egg BBQ, ready for the ultimate summer barbeque. This January and February we still have lots of availability for mid-week stays with prices from £149 per night in The Noble Fir. All of our lodges have a 2 night minimum stay and 20% deposit is required at the time of booking. There are still a few weekend stays left in January and February too, perfect for catching up with family or friends this New Year!
