Summer picnics and BBQs

Now that summer officially arrived on the 21^st June (although someone needs to tell the weather…) it is time for lots of summer picnics and BBQs!

Whether you like a quiche, a bowl of olives, a loaf of freshly baked bread, a wedge of cheese, some pate, a slice of pork pie, a sausage roll or some freshly sliced cooked meat- we have everything you need in our Delicatessen for your ultimate summer picnics. With ranges of homemade products added in with quality artisan produce, the Deli offering is always growing and developing with every season. Find market fresh fruit and vegetables in our Farm Shops, and of course – no picnic is complete without a few treats so make sure you add some crisps, hot chilli puffs or a locally made sponge cake to your picnic basket!

Come rain or shine we love a barbecue. Whether we are cooking under glorious sun beams or under an umbrella in the rain, we can’t resist the smell of charcoal burning and meat sizzling. Our Butchery departments work hard all year to bring you the freshest, tastiest and fully traceable meats, creating a fabulous array of products on their counter for you to take home.

Our Butchery team have a wide range of award winning homemade sausages and burgers. Sausages varieties include sticky onion sausages, The Hollies Cheshire Pork with black pepper and mixed herbs, Cumberland and Welsh Dragon with chillies and leek. If Burgers are more your thing then try the Welsh beef grill with onion or our Ultimate Steak Burger with chillies and cracked black pepper. Our Butchers also make a Gluten Free burger.

All of The Hollies steaks are matured in house for at least 28 days and each one is hand cut by our expert in house Butchers. Try Sirloin, Rump, Ribeye or the mighty Tomahawk steak- the perfect treat for the BBQ. If that isn’t enough, we’ve got smoked bourbon ribs, Hawaiian pork kebabs, king beef kebabs, crispy shallot chicken, salt and pepper chicken kebabs, flat iron beef steak in coffee and black pepper and much more to get your taste buds into as you enjoy your summer time BBQ.
