Pumpkins are planted

Pumpkins plants are growing In the fields and in the garden box Richard and Cyril have spent the last week planting the pumpkin plants, that they have nurtured from seed. The pumpkin plants are lined along the fields, will be fed and watered for months, ready for harvest in late September. Pumpkin Planting 100’s of seeds were nurtured in the greenhouses and have grown into plants 5 inches tall. Richard and Cyril hoed the holes , and hand planted every pumpkin plant in our field. 2 pumpkin plants were saved for Ewan, Richard’s grandson and 4th generation of The Hollies Farm shop.
