National Vegetarian Week
National Vegetarian Week runs between the 13th of May until the 19th of May. This week is important as it highlights the benefits and pleasures of a meat-free diet. A Vegetarian diet has many benefits including health benefits, political, environmental, cultural, aesthetic, economic, or personal preference. National Vegetarian Week offers a chance to dismiss any lingering myths around vegetarian food and its limitations.
This week is perfect to discover a love for Vegetarian food and meals. At The Hollies, we have a diverse range of products to rustle up a delicious Vegetarian meal. Our fruit and vegetables are locally sourced where possible, full of flavour and are delivered to us 6 days a week to ensure freshness and quality. We have lots of Vegetarian cheeses, pies and pastries available on our Delicatessen also.
We also stock delicious Vegetarian Frozen COOK meals. Such as the Roasted Vegetarian Lasagne which won the Great Taste Awards in 2018. The Vegetarian Lasagne is made up of roasted peppers, mushrooms, courgette & spinach between Italian egg pasta with a light crème fraiche and mascarpone sauce. Accompany the dish with a green salad and one of our garlic ciabattas.
In our coffee shops and restaurants, we offer an extensive range of Vegetarian dishes which are all full of flavour. Such as the Roast Vegetable and Goats cheese jacket potato filled with pesto, roasted vegetables, Tracklements onion relish and goats’ cheese, which is available at our Little Budworth coffee shop. At our Lower Stretton coffee shop try the delicious Rarebit. A blend of Wensleydale, red cheddar & onion marmalade with a touch of wholegrain mustard, served on thickly sliced six grain toast with apple chutney.
Celebrate Vegetarian Week with us at The Hollies, cook up a delicious Vegetarian meal with supplies from our Farm Shop. Or have some Vegetarian food cooked up for you in our Coffee Shop’s or Restaurants.
