Accolade for The Hollies
OHN TIMPSON, CHAIRMAN OF TIMPSON SHOE REPAIRS
The Hollies has been highlighted as an “innovative farm shop” in John Timpson’s business column in The Telegraph. This is praise indeed from such a prolific Business man as John Timspon, a man famous for his business ethics and a philosophy that “If you treat people well, it is blindingly obvious that they will do a good job.”
Phil, Ed and Sue are 3rd generation family members, who have taken their family farming credentials and added their own innovation and flair to create 2 farm shops, 2 coffee shops, a gift barn, garden centre, butchery and deli. They are unlikely to stop there, always looking for the next opportunity.
John Timpson wrote; “A Small Business Saturday may bring a mini boost to the local shop, but their long term prosperity will depend on delivering goods and service customers really want on every shopping day of every week.
It can be done. The nearest shop to my home – The Hollies, an independent and innovative farm shop – keeps finding new ways to attract more customers and as a result gets bigger and better every year.” The Telegraph 7 July 2013
