Christmas Tree Collection

Tuesday, November 13th, 2018

The annual Christmas Tree Collection returns in the New Year, as scores of volunteers roll up their sleeves and hit the roads across the country to collect as many used Christmas Trees as possible. In our area, in exchange for a donation to St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice, your tree will be collected from your door in early January and taken away for recycling. The scheme saves all the hassle and mess of disposing of the tree yourself, and of course it’s good for the local environment too. Earlier this year, over 2,400 trees were collected from the CW1-CW11 postcode area, which raised over £30K for the hospice!

Andy Bailey from St Luke’s says it’s a win-win situation: ‘It’s a novel idea that everyone seems to like, and it’s grown rapidly over these past couple of years. Plus it’s a great way for our volunteers to shed any excess pounds they might have put on over Christmas!’

To register your own tree, please go to www.charityxmastreecollection.com or call 01606 555872. Your postcode determines which charity will collect your tree.

Thank you in advance for your support!
