Christmas arrives at Muckrach!

Towards the end of November, our Christmas Elves from The Barn at Little Budworth headed the 370 miles north to our Highland Hotel, Muckrach Country House Hotel, to spread their Christmas Magic once again.

Before all the hard work began, the team headed up part of the Cairngorm Mountain to meet and hand feed some of Santa’s little helpers; the Cairngorm Reindeer Herd. The Cairngorm Reindeer Herd is Britain’s only free-ranging herd of reindeer mostly ranging on the Cairngorm Mountains with the remainder on the Glenlivet Estate. Each reindeer is very tame and friendly with a soft velvety nose.

Back at the hotel, fueled by hot chocolate and Christmas music, the team spent 3 days adding their festive touches to the Library, Reception, Drawing Room, Conservatory and staircase, plus the exterior of the hotel. As if by magic, the snow arrived on their final night and left a thin covering of crisp white snow as they departed Muckrach in the morning with the lights twinkling, the baubles shining and the candles flickering…
