Field to fork freshness – Cheshire Asparagus

One of the highlights in our ‘Field to Fork Freshness’ calendar for local produce is English Asparagus. English asparagus season is fairly short, usually only lasting for around 8 weeks and in this time we just absolutely love it!

The Pimbleys of Claremont Farm are a family of farmers that have been growing and selling their own fruit and vegetables since 1906. We eagerly followed the progress of Claremont Farm’s asparagus via Social Media throughout the end of April and beginning of May, and we were excited to receive our first delivery straight from the farm on May 11th. The Farm is based over on the Wirral where the climate and soil make for perfect growing conditions.
